Social Media Response Countless users and merchants are posting online claiming that product pages now present a modified sizing category compared to what was initially listed due to the recalibration. The company said the new system was more in line with similar services. They have suggested members to examine their items and update the measurements by hand if necessary, resulting in member annoyance. Sizing System Modifications Earlier, the sizing featured a single numeric size and a letter, for instance S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10. With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - for example a size L was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. User Accounts A fashion influencer, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. A different member, located in Scotland, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she stated. Required Changes Another shopper, from Derby, stated she felt frustrated due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she said.
